I live in Mexico and have advised everyone in our pueblo to tell their relatives (everyone in mexico has at least one uncle and a brother in the states) NOT to speak Spanish or any indigenous languages in public to the extent they can. I have also written to anyone I know in the States who is spanish-speaking and may not understand exactly what is going down. I suggest everyone does that. My hope is that the Trump appointed SCOTUS justices will be impeached in the future for all lying under oath during their congressional hearings. SCOTUS desperately needs expansion to balance the ideologies. The federal judiciary needs a complete overhaul; it needs a comprehensive set of ethics like other professions and it needs term limits for the entire federal court system.

Linda, actually a Constitutional Amendment requires ratification by 2/3 which is 28 states. Back in the '70's, the ERA was constantly attempted but never ratified. This subject was one of several discussed in my Philosophy of Law class I had as an undergrad. We had some spirited and very interesting discussions in that class.
