"Kavanaugh Stops"
I've been thinking about this every day since the Supreme Court issued a ruling that watered-down the Fourth Amendment's "right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures..."
I always wanted to believe we were making progress. I've always held fast to Martin Luther King Jr.’s, "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."
But the Supreme Court had (and has) other ideas.
The Supreme Court gave us the Dred Scott decision.
The Supreme Court gave us Plessy v. Ferguson.
The Supreme Court gave us Korematsu.
And now, the Supreme Court has disgraced itself once again by giving us "Kavanaugh Stops."
We have one hell of a reform and rebuilding mission ahead of us.
Extraordinarily challenging though it may be, I STILL believe we are up to the task.

Constitutional insults should never be forgiven. We have remedies; we just need the will.
I believe in the 4th amendment and will fight for it.
