She was acting Attorney General not a judge. And acting a G doesn’t require senate approval and serves at the pleasure of the president. The current occupant of the oval office doesn’t even know what that means. Indeed, he clearly stated he doesn’t know if he has to follow the constitution. I’m embarrassed to be an American. I hope that doesn’t last long because I don’t have more than another 3035 years left on this earth that is if I live to the edge of 96 like my father who, God bless him, is a survivor of cardiac ICU and has been diagnosed with stage four cancer that has metastasized to his lungs, and he still plays pickle ball every day. He is the most stoic man but then again he’s of Eastern European stock and he was born in 1929. He said he thought he’d never see this again in his lifetime and he is nothing more than a pragmatist and my mother is 89 years old and devastated what has happened to the only country she has ever known but I’m rambling like grandpa Simpson so I’ll stop. God bless the America I once knew.

The Peter Principle is a concept which observes that: “In a hierarchy, every [person] tends to rise to his [or her] level of incompetence." So that in time "every position of that hierarchy tends to be occupied by a [person] who is incompetent to carry out its duties." Remind anyone of one of the branches of or current government? This principal usually applies to corporations; however, Trump has brought this from his corporations and infected the Executive Branch with it. What a mess.
Guessing this young man's fate will be contingent upon the judge in the upcoming deportation case. Let's hope Mr. Garcia stands in front of another judge of this same caliber and commitment to the rule of law.
Thanks Glenn for this post. trump and bimbo bondi are nothing if not lawless. I can't believe attorneys aren't quitting instead of doing bondi's unlawful acts in court ? Do they have no humillaty to do what is right ? They should just quit because if they stay i'm sure they will lose their law license and them saying I was just following orders isn't gonna fly there. Kilmar needs to get a fair trial and I hope he does...and that fair judges rule in his favor. Fingers crossed on that. In the meantime, we don't have a DOJ anymore...we have a woman running a group of people who are bent on only defending trump (as his own personal attorney) instead of working for the American people. The DOJ is supposed to work for the American people and this dept is now working against the American people, such as the voting law crap they are involved in....Congress needs to take away all funding from this dept...but of course that won't happen until they grow a spine and do the right thing. First thing is impeach trump and move down the line. Anyway thanks Glenn.
I know I’m a day late, but this really cheered me up. Justice does matter. I hope & pray that Trump & his Administration unlawful & unconstitutional practices comes home to bite them really hard in their fascists butts!

I agree with you should go back to original order. But what has happened to the others that were deported(kidnapped )
