Why are Thomas and Alito always on the wrong side?

They have been bought lock, stock, and barrel by The Heritage Foundation. In return, Alito and Thomas must - MUST - back their Project 2025. Even if they don't want to (but, presumably, they are all in with P2025 ( Justice Thomas realizes he will be removed from history as soon as he steps wrong, so he won't because that would derail the gravy train)). Thomas and Alito are as transactional as Trump. They have something of value to sell, so they did. And, they are staying bought. Roy L. Fuchs would be giddy with delight. Transactionalism seems to be entirely without scruples or conscience.

Thank you Glenn for your added explanation at the end about why Kavanaugh’s concurrence is so positive, and the manner in which it indicates the Court will most likely rule in the future on the merits of using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport people.

This type of legally-grounded explanation is really good news, and it’s so needed now. I wouldn’t have understood this 3rd 7-2 ruling to be the positive news it truly is, without your Law Talk tonight.

Plus, tonight’s talk answers my question from a few days ago about any of these Pam Bondi acolytes, the Republicans and Trump ever being held responsible for what they’ve done to the Rule of Law? I’m beginning to get an outline of how these rulings might help these morally bankrupt individuals ultimately be held responsible. And for that, I truly thank you, Glenn! 🙏🏼

Thank you Glen. Just know that I fully enjoy all your explanations of the law and how it works. Never worry about trying to be more clear, it helps me to understand what is going on more fully. There does seem to be pattern that gives us a point of light to remember as we weed through the many court cases due to the corrupt lawlessness of the Trump administration.

Thanks again for the "Points of Light"! I'm again encouraged that the SCOTUS will do the right thing in these unlawful acts by this administration. Also I want to mention that I'm reading the other posts on this page and I wish I could thank each and everyone for standing with you for the rule of Law!

Michael Popok has a very different take on the Kavanaugh concurrence. You (Glenn) should check it out and see what you think.

Glenn, when I talk about you to others, I tell them you are solid, reliable, always forthright and honest, of impeccable integrity, extremely knowledgeable and that your background gives you exceptional gravitas. Your explanation of the theory behind preliminary injunctions was succinct and explained in language that even I could understand. You do phenomenal work. It is people like you who will restore citizens’ faith in U.S courts and government. You are much appreciated.

It feels very disturbing that we find ourselves happy/relieved that SCOTUS is ruling in favor of the Constitution.

Thank you for highlighting this pattern. I had a sense it was there but hadn’t looked closely at it. This is pretty big. I would really like to hear what’s going on with the show cause proceedings- are there 2 now? One in Judge Boasberg’s court and the other before Judge Xinis? Can we expect a contempt ruling soon?
