All vindictive prosecutions are NOT created equal
Hey friends, so I've been recovering at home for the last two days after a minor medical procedure, but I think I've just about run out of patience (and maybe that means I’m not the world’s best patient).
In other words, it's Community Meeting time! I'd really like to dive into the breaking news about John Bolton pleading guilty to unlawfully retaining classified information, and why all vindictive prosecutions are NOT created equal.
I feel like this is an important discussion because Trump and his flunkies will likely point to this result as evidence of the righteousness of what Todd Blanche's dirty DOJ officials are doing by going after Trump's perceived enemies. But nothing could be further from the truth, as we will discuss this evening.
I also want to use this development to resurface a legislative project that I've had on the back burner for a while now.
I call it the “22 Words Project” and it is designed to enhance ethics in government service by requiring every government employee to report - blow the whistle on - crime and corruption inside government, rather than sitting on the corruption they see by government officials but later disclosing it only for profit when they choose to include it in a book they published after leaving government service, as did Bolton, Mike Pence, and others. This practice is contemptible, and anathema to honorable government service.
The following 22 words should be added to the oath of federal office, which is found in the federal law at 5 US Code section 3331:
“ . . . and I promptly will report all instances of crime and/or corruption by government officials and employees of which I become aware.”
Let’s discuss tonight at 8:30 pm ET.
It's good to be back.

Glad you feeling better!!!
Welcome back to the crazy club! 😳
