How about restructuring the Supreme Court? It should be restructured to no longer be composed of 9 specific Supreme Court Justices selected by a President and appointed for life, but of panels of nine experienced judges from the Federal Courts of Appeals to serve as "Supreme Court Justices," randomly drawn from the pool of all federal judges in each of the 13 regional courts of appeals throughout the United States. These ‘Supreme Court Justices” would sit to hear a particular case and then return to their normal duties. To be eligible to serve as a Supreme Court Justice, a lawyer must have served as a federal judge for at least 10 years.

Yes! I like this! Randomness should play a role, so there would be no "angling" for the Court!

We need to think outside the tight little box.

Don't forget term limits!! I say 15 years max, unless you're talking about them adjournning, then going back to their regular jobs and the Supreme dismantles temporarily until another case presents itself? Either way, term limits. The Democrats say 18 years. I say that's still too long, but better than lifetime appointments.

The idea of panels means the Supreme Court isn't made up of the same Justices every time it meets; instead, Justices are randomly selected to hear a single case, then return to their normal duties. Federal judges are lifetime appointees, I believe, and would need to have served at least 10 years as a judge on the Court of Appeals before they can be elevated to serve as a Supreme Court justice.

My husband was on a destroyer during the Vietnam war and they were at sea for two months then they would go to port. When they were at sea they received supplies and fuel from supply ships. It doesn’t sound to me like this administration gives a tinkers damn about our military men and women.

It is great to see a picture of you and your better 3/4’s.

Let Mrs. K know that we appreciate her keeping you sane. I've been watching you on Steph Miller and of course missing these meetings but will jump on today.

Given that there are 76 days until the Midterms and 47 days until SCOTUS returns to the regular session, that gives them 29 days left on the Shady Docket. How likely do you believe they will push the envelope on the mail in voting issue in order to keep it within that time frame and thus keep it on the Shady Docket…and cause the maximum amount of damage to free and fair elections…kind of like a ‘Mitch McConnell-like’ scenario where they ‘carefully weigh in’ and issue a ruling at the last hour…

Good afternoon Glenn and friends! I thought I read recently that a SITTING FEDERAL JUDGE stepped down so he could fight against DJT corruption of the courts. He felt "restricted" by the rules givyhis position?? Could you explain what was keeping the Judge from expressing his feelings. Thanks Glenn.
